Millard West High School is now in the third year of its Power Systems Design and Fabrication class. This is a two semester course in which twelve members work in one of two teams. The Black team, our team, specializes in revamping old cars and putting new touches, such as better paint, mechanisms, and new materials on them. The other team, known as the Green team, is building a car from scratch to match an existing shell. Both teams are working their hardest to ensure that their cars will be the best they can be. This can be rather challenging at times for us, and a lot is required of us. In this class we focus on engineering concepts, problem solving, and team cohesion. All of these elements help to make our teams the best they can be, and also allows us to strive for our ultimate goal of building great vehicles, and having a great time while doing so.
